Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A

Summary
Shearer’s Foods is seeking a Senior Analyst of FP&A that will be responsible for providing support of Supply Chain Management and Plant Facilities, Portfolio Optimization, Key Strategic Initiatives as well as ad hoc special requests within the Finance Team and broader organization. This role will have partnerships with several different areas of the business and have exposure to upper-level management.
Your Seat at the Table:
- Provide plant management financial support by analyzing and identify the drivers of variances, profitability and ensure data accuracy.
- Coach plant teams and business partners to develop financial acumen and capabilities in daily decision making as well as long-term planning.
- Develop and maintain analytical tools utilizing statistical data to identify opportunities for improvement and consistency across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Create and distribute targeted reports and scorecards to management communicating summarized key insights to drive forward looking actions and strategic planning.
- Handle monthly Finance close actives and journal entries for the supporting sites.
- Assist in the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, and operational planning.
- Support and advise key executives on business acquisitions, dispositions, start up plans.
- Increase productivity and efficiency by developing automated models or charts, eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements.
- Drive productivity and profit by looking for optimization opportunities with cross functional teams about the company’s product base.
- Support special projects and ad hoc reporting requests.
- Maintain flexible and “can-do” attitude in managing multiple projects and changing priorities.
What you Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Major preferred.
- 3-6 years of relevant finance experience. Work experience in cost accounting, analytics and/or strategic business consulting is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment with internal deadlines.
- Ability to lead and collaborate in a team environment.
- Flexibility to coordinate special projects, anticipate issues and take initiative to resolve them.
- Advanced Excel capabilities and proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Flexible work schedule to meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
