The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for collecting, interpreting, and identifying trends in data. The role will require the development of standard and ad hoc data reports to be used in quality reporting, performance improvement activities, and other operational reports. They will perform these duties while meeting the mission and goals of Mercy Health ministry, as well as meeting the regulatory compliance requirements.
Essential Job Functions
Examines historical and projected financial data to provide valuable data upon which to make relevant financial decisions.
Performs a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. Must have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.
Developing standard and ad hoc reports
Assisting in imports or exports of data
Performing periodic audits of data sources
Maintain a current knowledge of healthcare trends and operations.
Assists other teams and participates in assigned projects as a financial support resource.
Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
Tracking KPIs and preparing financial reports.
Assisting with budgeting and monthly close processes.
Understanding key business drivers.
Assisting clients with financial guidance.
Developing financial projections and building financial models.
Performing research and analysis as required.
Ensures compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and other regulations.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or comparable discipline; or combination of post-secondary education and experience (required)
Work Experience
3+ year of experience in financial planning and analysis or accounting (required)
Healthcare experience (preferred)
