Job Description:

The Senior Director, FP&A shapes enterprise performance for Pet Nutrition North America by translating strategy into integrated financial plans and providing a single, forward-looking view of the P&L. As a core member of the Finance Leadership Team, the role leads S&OP+ Integrated Reconciliation, guides disciplined resource allocation and trade-offs, and governs annual and long-range planning, Cash, Overheads and Turnaround Office value delivery. 

What are we looking for?

  • Finance degree or a related field required; MBA, CPA or CMA preferred. 

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership in enterprise planning and financial analysis; experience in the Mars environment preferred. 

  • Minimum of 10 years leading and developing diverse teams. 

  • Preferred experience within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry. 

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Own the consolidation, reporting and analysis of Pet Nutrition North America actuals, forecasts and plans, establishing a single, accurate and forward-looking view of financial performance across the P&L. 

  • Provide financial governance for the Turnaround Office, ensuring transformation initiatives are rigorously quantified, prioritized, tracked and delivered against committed value.

  • Lead Step 4 (Integrated Reconciliation of the Mars Pet Nutrition NA S&OP+ process), integrating demand, COGS, investment and other enterprise inputs into the financial outlook, challenging assumptions, and recommending trade-offs required to maximize performance and deliver targets. 

  • Own the annual Operating Plan/AEP and long-range planning cycles, including IVCP, translating enterprise ambition into integrated, financially rigorous and executable plans. 

  • Partner with the CFO and senior leaders to translate the five-year IVCP into resource allocation decisions that maximize growth, profitability and cash generation. 

  • Anticipate enterprise risks and opportunities through scenario analysis and forward-looking insight, enabling faster, higher-quality decisions. 

  • Own financial target setting, forecasting and governance for Overheads and Cash, partnering with business leaders to deliver performance while continuously strengthening planning discipline and business partnering effectiveness. 

  • Build a high-performing FP&A organization by attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent, strengthening succession, and holding leaders accountable for performance and potential.
