ROLE
We need an experienced Sr. Staffing Specialist to support the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA). The EOUSA provides close liaison support between the Department of Justice and the 93 United States Attorneys located throughout the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Marianas Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In this role, you will provide comprehensive staffing and recruitment advisory services, post vacancy announcements using USA Staffing, conduct job analyses, develop assessment tools, screen and rate applicants, and perform delegated examining activities in support of GS and AD positions across EOUSA and the USAOs. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Consult with managerial personnel to develop recruitment strategy based on broad knowledge of internal, external, and special hiring authorities.
  • Conduct job analysis and develop specialized experience statements and assessment tools, which include specific descriptive requirements and responsibilities of positions.
  • Conduct recruitment from the general public (Delegated Examining) as an individual certified by the Office of Personnel Management to conduct Delegated Examining.
  • Use model assessment tools when appropriate.
  • Post vacancy announcements that include required information and elements.
  • Review candidates for eligibility, qualifications, and veteran preference and make proper annotations in the automated staffing system.
  • Issue certificate of eligibles to management officials.
  • Conduct quality review of staffing case files prior to extension of an employment offer.
  • Verify that candidate meets all eligibility and qualification requirements prior to appointment.
  • Perform general, specialized or targeted outreach recruitment efforts.
  • Develop vacancy announcements using USA Staffing automated staffing tool for posting on USAJobs.
  • Respond to inquiries from supervisors and candidates.
  • Screen applications to determine basic eligibility and qualifications, rating and ranking of applicants, coordinating rating panels.
  • Issue certificates to include printing of candidate information when necessary; prepare notices of results to candidates.
  • Draft or assist in the development of standard job aids in support of USA Staffing and USAHire and related staffing and recruitment services.
  • Perform in accordance with DOJ and EOUSA policies, USA Staffing procedures, and applicable federal regulations, laws, and procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Federal Government staffing experience.
  • Current Delegated Examining (DE) certification issued by the Office of Personnel Management.
  • Experience posting vacancy announcements utilizing USA Staffing.
  • Familiarity with USA Hire and other second hurdle assessment options.

LOCATION
  • Remote

CLEARANCE
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier-4 Public Trust background investigation for the duration of the contract.
  • Must be a US Citizen

CLIENT

HOURS
  • 40 hours per week
  • 8 hours per day

EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION
  • Employment Classification Eligibility – W2

RELOCATION
  • Not eligible for relocation benefits

COMPENSATION
  • Salary Range: $93,000 - $123,000 commensurate on experience and location
  • Benefits: Benefits package includes options for health, dental and vision insurance coverage

Other Considerations: This position is W-2 only; no Corp-to-Corp or 1099 candidates. Relocation will not be offered. Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area. The noise level in this environment is low to moderate. Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of the time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of the time.

Skills Required
