Key Responsibilities
- Expert in understanding and analyzing the customer specifications.
- Lead the team to be in full adherence with PTR Processes, Design Rules and Tools (Common Design Concept (CDC) and Common Production Concept (CPC)).
- Coordinate critical Engineering requirements with PTR Technology team.
- Leading audits on the use of engineering tools, rules as well as the engineering quality process
- Attend and lead engineering & production reviews to ensure error free designs & reliable products.
- Validate during the Design Review Process the designs produced for the Unit.
- Provide technical support to PTR Unit Engineering Teams with interpreting complex customer specification and related analysis/calculations.
- Ensure adherence with the Enhanced PTR Technical Risk Assessment process. (Including FMEA) requirements and operating instructions throughout the R&D and Project cycle and associated Gate Reviews.
- Ensure adherence with the Design for Quality and Design for Manufacturability principles during the technology and product/prototype design development.
- Initiate and lead RCA for Investigations / Failures. Analysis of failures for RCA & corrective actions, preparing reports internally & externally.
- Follow non-conformance reports and take necessary preventive actions.
- Identify and launch key initiatives to enable continuous improvement across the Engineering function.
- Understand national and international standards and necessary design tools.
- Provide input for potential inclusion in R&D project portfolio to ensure compliance with Design for Quality and Design for Manufacture requirements.
- Coordinate best practices from units with PTR Technology to be included in Design Handbook Rules and Industrial Handbook for best manufacturing practices.

Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree 20+ years industry experience, (MSc and/or PhD degree is a plus)
- Good level of English
- Exposed to International environment
- Very good knowledge level of design process
- Good knowledge of industrial processes
Experience
- More than 20 years’ experience in Transformer Design and good understanding of Manufacturing Processes.
- Demonstrates ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making, influences & inspires team, creates a vision and strategy, and has passion for the role.
- Global experience and mindset including high technical cultural competence and sensitivity.
- Successful experience in management of engineering, technology or project management teams.
