Position Summary
This position will be part of BIG-IP Next Central Manager instance management core team. This person is responsible for the maintenance, enhancement, design and development of the current and future Central Manager features around the integration of Big-IP devices. Designs, develops and maintains high-quality code for complex product requirements. Self-driven, manages assigned projects independently and may serve as technical expert for issues associated with specific projects, occasionally assisting Principal, Sr. Principal and Architects with design details.
Primary Responsibilities

Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions for assigned projects by identifying, resolving and mitigating risk and communicating to stakeholders

Provides technical solutions to detail certain aspects of product design and ensures that resulting design specification fits into technical architectural framework.

Recommends and maintains technical design methodologies, processes and standards

Provides technical guidance/mentoring to lower-level engineers

Assists Principal Engineers, Architects and Management with project scope

Assisting and driving customer solutions

Strong analytic/trouble-shooting skills

Can collaborate in a fast high-performance arena with globally distributed development teams.

Excellent articulation, written and verbal communications.

Excellent design, ideation and problem-solving skills

Strong and relevant experience with devices and instance management

Excellent knowledge on microservices and cloud-based modern architecture.

Prior product development experience with a proven track record and hands-on programming skills involving Golang, c++, Python, Java or equivalent language.

Hands-on experience with Test Driven Development, System Testing and Smoke Testing

Self-driven, self-motivated individual with leadership skills and a team player.

Excellent knowledge on Kubernetes, including (but not limited to):
-
Kubernetes environments
-
Deployments, services, configmaps, ingress etc.

Building, deploying and debugging helm charts.

Excellent knowledge of Docker and similar container-based technologies, including (but not limited to):

Dockerfile creation
-
Docker build
-

Hands on experience with source control tools, such as: GitHub, GitLab, etc.

Hands on experience with diverse types of databases, including (but not limited to):

RDBMS and NoSql DBs, including PosgreSQL, ElasticSearch.

Distributed databases
-
TimeSeries
-
BR & DR, RTO and RPO plans/strategies

Experience with scale and performance testing would be an added plus

Understanding of networking concepts and protocols

Understanding of security concepts and transport layer security (SSL/TLS)

Extensive knowledge of product life cycle.
Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
