Job Title : Sr. Engineer- Mechanical

Reports to : Manager – Engineering
Description of Essential Duties:
- Lead and contribute to the global environment in providing design engineering support for new product development, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), and improvement projects.
- Plan and oversee engineering support activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) and other improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality output within specified timeframes, in collaboration with senior team members.
- Execute diverse projects and assignments, ranging from concept design to NPD, Bills of Materials (BOM), CAD modelling, detailing (using Solidworks Tool), and Change Orders, maintaining organizational quality standards.
- Rapidly acquire and assimilate product knowledge essential for project execution.
- Drive the design and development of parts/assemblies, delivering comprehensive design packages comprising 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOM structures.
- Demonstrate autonomy and proficiency in work execution with minimal guidance.
- Foster regular interaction with cross-functional teams across global locations to ensure seamless project coordination and meet product design requirements and deadlines.
- Actively participate in scheduled customer and internal review meetings, offering insights and recommendations.
- Provide accurate project estimations based on received requirements.
- Uphold adherence to the organization's project management processes.
- Maintain high standards of quality and schedule adherence as part of the Global Engineering Function, reporting according to the defined communication plan.
- Embrace additional responsibilities assigned by the organization, executing them diligently.
- Working Experience in Busway and Switchgear will be added advantage
Required Competency:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design environment.
- 6-8 years of experience on Solidworks platform in Sheet metal domain is a must.
- Must be expert in 3D modelling and detailing work on Solidworks with experience on generating Bills of Materials. Should also possess relevant experience and understanding of CO process.
- Working experience on any PLM tools. Agile or PD cloud will be added advantage
- Knowledge and hands on experience of sheet metal fabrication process is must. Experience in a fabrication environment would be an added advantage.
- Experience on telecom/electrical enclosure design is added advantage
- Must own Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
- Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, Willingness to learn and organized
Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in SOLIDWORKS and managing modifications as required.

Skills Required
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 6-8 years of experience on SOLIDWORKS in sheet metal domain

- Working experience on any PLM tools
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Experience handling large CAD assemblies in SOLIDWORKS and managing modifications
- Interpersonal and effective written and spoken English communication skills
- Self-motivated, disciplined, willing to learn and organized
- Experience with Agile PLM or PD Cloud
- Experience in a fabrication environment
- Experience on telecom/electrical enclosure design (switchgear/busway advantage)
