Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer - Civil to oversee and ensure adherence to quality standards in the construction of industrial structures, site infrastructure, and associated civil and architectural works. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of civil engineering codes and standards, hands-on experience in on-site and off-site quality inspection, and prior collaboration with quality control agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures for all civil and structural works.
- Monitor construction activities including industrial structures, site infrastructure, sewage and drainage networks, and architectural works to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
- Review and verify material test reports, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality documentation.
- Conduct site inspections for concrete works, reinforcement, shuttering, and finishing activities to ensure conformity with approved drawings and standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and quality control agencies for quality compliance and resolution of non-conformities.
- Prepare and maintain quality-related records, reports, and inspection checklists.
- Ensure compliance with IS codes, ASTM, BIS, and other relevant civil engineering standards.
- Participate in audits, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning for quality issues.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams for continuous improvement in quality performance.
Required Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (Master's preferred).
- 8-10 years of experience in quality assurance and control for civil and industrial infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of civil codes, standards, and material testing procedures.
- Experience in sewage, drainage, and site infrastructure development.
- Working knowledge of quality documentation, inspection plans, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Experience working with third-party Quality Control agencies will be an added advantage.
- Person should have proficiency in using Gen AI Tools, Copilot, Copilot library & Agent bots
