The Global Field Enablement team
The Global Field Enablement team at Okta serves to build global enablement programs for sellers at scale. This team designs and executes initiatives focused on driving field effectiveness in role and meeting the objectives of the business.
The Sr. Enablement Content Strategist Opportunity:
As a Senior Enablement Content Strategist reporting to the Sr. Manager, Field Enablement Systems, you will design, develop, and implement a comprehensive content strategy that directly supports our sales goals and initiatives. In this role, you will oversee the structure, management, and optimization of content across various platforms and formats to ensure its effectiveness and coherence.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Content Strategy Development: Create a content strategy that aligns with organizational goals and user needs, defining content types, formats, and governance guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Content Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of a robust content architecture, enhancing accessibility and usability for the sales team. This includes creating site maps, navigation menus, and content hierarchies.
- Content Analysis: Assess content requirements, audience needs, and business objectives to design an optimal content structure.
- Content Management: Manage the entire content lifecycle, from creation to publication and maintenance. Establish policies, workflows, governance and processes to ensure content remains relevant and impactful.
- Taxonomy and Metadata Management: Develop taxonomies and metadata schemas for efficient content classification and retrieval, improving searchability and navigation.
- Content Modeling: Define and implement content models and schemas to standardize content structures, facilitating reuse, personalization, and scalability.
- Content Performance Analysis & Optimization: Use advanced analytics tools to perform detailed content performance analyses. Apply insights to refine strategies and enhance content effectiveness.
- User Experience Optimization: Conduct usability testing and user research to assess and improve content structures and navigation patterns based on user feedback.
- Strategic Collaboration: Act as a key advisor to sales and product marketing leaders, identifying content needs and providing strategic recommendations to boost sales performance.
- Technical Integration: Collaborate with Systems and IT team to implement CMS, and other technology solutions, defining data structures, APIs, and integration requirements.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- 8+ years of proven experience in content architecture and management, preferably in a technology company. Experience in sales enablement or related fields is a plus.
- A forward-thinking approach to content strategy with a track record of leading in high-growth environments.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), preferably Highspot or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to understand complex data requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
- Strong ability to analyze data and performance metrics to drive strategic decisions. Experience with analytics tools and deriving actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product management.
- Solid project management skills with experience overseeing the content lifecycle. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Science, Library Science, or Computer Science.

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$159,000—$239,000 USD
Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:
$142,000—$214,000 USD
