As the Senior Director of Insights & Data you will lead the organization’s data strategy, transforming data into actionable insights that drive business performance. You will oversee the end-to-end data ecosystem from data and analytics engineering to predictive modeling and hypothesis-driven analyses. Cultivating a culture of innovation and excellence, you will lead your team in creating the data culture, governance, products, and infrastructure that enables Weave to scale to its next level of performance. Under your leadership, your team will bridge the gap between data and business to create a competitive advantage that drives sustainable growth.

What You Will Own
- Leadership and Strategy
- Develop and execute the organization's data and analytics strategy to align with business goals.
- Create a positive, results-oriented working environment.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, analytics engineers, and analysts.
- Guide the team in establishing strong partnerships across the company.
- Champion a data-driven decision-making culture across the company.
- Manage department budget and resourcing.
- Influence Critical Business Decisions
- Collaborate with leadership to define success metrics and business objectives.
- Design dashboards, visualizations, and reports that distill complex information into meaningful insights.
- Establish predictive models that enable leaders to be proactive.
- Provide timely insights for stakeholders including (but not limited to) payments, product development, customer success, marketing, sales, pricing, and operations.
- Champion data-literacy and enable self-serve capabilities to empower teams across the company with real-time, trusted data.
- Data Management and Infrastructure
- Establish governance to ensure data consistency, quality, compliance, and integrity.
- Lead teams in optimizing data pipelines, architecture, products, and tools.
- Define, establish, and document standards to drive stewardship around sources of truth, processes, metrics, etc.
- Identify and implement best-in-class data and analytics platforms and software solutions.
- Advanced Analytics and Innovation
- Drive the adoption of advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our data capabilities.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner effectively with cross-functional teams and align leaders around priorities.
- Perform ROI analysis to evaluate the impact of data initiatives on business outcomes.
- Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to audiences of all levels and backgrounds.
- Build relationships with external partners, vendors, and consultants as needed.
What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience developing high performing teams that can adapt to business needs.
- Understanding of data regulations and requirements for compliance.
- Strong background in data governance, visualization, and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience working with large datasets, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and database management systems.
- Experience with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Strong understanding of experimentation.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data to non-technical audiences and influence business strategy.
- Familiarity with various systems in which data is created and/or stored (e.g. CRM systems, marketing analytics, product analytics).
- Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
