Job Summary
The Senior Director, Finance is responsible for leading Masimo’s US accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Accounting. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, maintains a strong internal control environment, and ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
The Senior Director partners closely with finance leadership to support financial discipline, enhance accounting processes, and deliver reliable financial insights to support business decisions. This role also serves as a key liaison for audit activities, ensuring audit readiness and compliance across the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Ensure proper application of accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842) and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Prepare and review financial statements and support analysis for management and corporate reporting
- Maintain and strengthen the internal control environment, ensuring SOX compliance and continuous improvement of key controls
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and business leaders to support financial planning, reporting, and operational decision-making
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation across accounting operations
- Serve as the primary liaison for external and internal audits, including coordination and execution
- Identify and manage accounting-related risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support business initiatives such as system implementations, integrations, and operational improvements, including working capital optimization
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and financial reporting requirements
- Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles
Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX, COSO)
Experience leading accounting operations and close processes within a complex organization
Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements and audit processes
Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve operational effectiveness
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel and analytical tools
Preferred Qualifications
CPA required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
Public accounting experience strongly preferred (Big Four preferred)
Experience in medical device, healthcare, or manufacturing environments
Experience with system implementations and process improvements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. CPA required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $200K - $280K plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.
This position also qualifies for up to 25% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.

Physical requirements/Work environment
This position primarily works in an office environment and requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other digital devices is required. This role may require standing for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking through facilities.
