  • Develop and articulate a clear, compelling vision and strategy in alignment with Experience Design strategy and operations that inspires others
  • Oversee and direct the development of user interface plans with direct impact on PayPal revenue, expense, budget, and growth
  • Negotiate with and influence the decision-making of senior internal and external executives and decision-makers
  • Create operational and strategic objectives that enhance user and customer experiences using domain knowledge and extensive expertise
  • Provide guidance to critical cross-functional and cross-organizational teams focused on experience design across PayPal
  • Identify and resolve strategic user interface and interaction design with new or innovative solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of experience leading others

The Position  

This role calls for a visionary leader with an unwavering commitment to user-centered design. This passion translates into flawless execution, leveraging a deep understanding of design patterns to build trust and security within our financial products. They will cultivate a visually sophisticated brand experience that resonates with our target audience, all while influencing stakeholders to champion their design vision. You will lead a team that has passion for designing intuitive cross platform experiencesleveraging prototyping techniques, empathy, and research with a test & learn mindset.You will help us find, develop, and retain the world’s best design talent, andhave a passion forcoaching teams and guiding partners inempathizing with customer problems. You will champion a “diagnose with data and treat through design” approach.

  • GuideUX efforts across teams, including strategy, planning,working with cross-functional partners to remove blockers andpresenting effectively tosenior staff andstakeholders 

  • Hold team accountableto leverage andextendthe use ofdesign system, style guides, patterns and assetsin the creation of UXdeliverables 

  • Contribute to thewider UX&UX managercommunity,mentoringothers, leveraging your strengths to help others grow 

 

Expected Qualifications: 

  • 15+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • 5 years of experience leading others 

  • Proven experiencein leading, growingand inspiring highly talented and productive UX teams 

  • Complete UXskillset,to deliverexcellenceacross products and platforms,mobile apps,financial services expertise an advantage

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

San Jose, California | ($242,000.00 - $359,150.00 Annually)
