Legend Biotech is seeking Sr. Director of Business Development as part of the Business Development team based in Somerset, New Jersey.
Role Overview
Legend Biotech is a leader in Cell Therapy. We are currently growing our Business Development group and are looking for an energetic business development professional to join our team
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Business Development team to identify target opportunities and companies for in-bound and out-bound programs
- Work closely with our global R&D teams and play an important role in building Legend’s pipeline
- Engage in activities including attending key partnering and therapy area conferences to monitor new scientific developments, and developing contacts
- Lead internal due diligence activities
- Work closely with other key line functions to define deal construct
- Assist transactions lead during business negotiations
- Champion licensing and collaboration opportunities with Legend management
- PhD in biological sciences is required
- 5+ years' relevant experience in business development in the pharma/biotech industry is highly preferred
- Must have background in cell biology and/or immunology
- Strong knowledge & experience in the drug development process
- Expertise in cell therapy
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams with good track record in business development
- Prior experience in business development search and due diligence activities preferred
- Prior experience in BD transactions a plus
