About the Role
The Senior Director, Field Sales Engineering & Program Management leads a global, high-impact organization of Field Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and Design Engineers focused on complex reseller and customer opportunities. This role shapes and executes pre-sales engineering strategy—driving technical enablement, innovation, and programs that accelerate pipeline and deliver measurable business outcomes.
As a senior leader, you will partner closely with Sales, Product Management, Vendors, and Customers to define solution strategy, build scalable enablement programs, and represent TD SYNNEX’s engineering vision with executive audiences.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead and develop a global team of Field Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and Design Engineers, setting clear expectations and driving performance.
  • Define and execute pre-sales engineering and technical enablement strategies aligned to business priorities.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Vendors, and Customers to create innovative demo solutions, programs, and services that accelerate revenue.
  • Own execution of business plans tied to solution centers and services offerings.
  • Establish and report on outcome-based KPIs that demonstrate revenue influence and ROI.
  • Manage financial stewardship, including cost accountability and effective use of onshore and offshore resources.
  • Represent Engineering Strategy at customer briefings, vendor engagements, and industry conferences; present to C-level stakeholders.
  • Leverage data and tools (e.g., CIS, Jira, Power BI) to drive insights, governance, and execution.
  • Champion effective and responsible use of AI, integrating it into team workflows and processes.
  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to attract, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing team.
  • Ensure certification, compliance, and governance requirements are met and accurately reported.

Experience and Skills Required

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with 3–5+ years leading and developing teams.
  • Proven leadership experience in pre-sales engineering, technical enablement, or Vendor Management and Business Ops leadership teams.
  • Experience leading the adoption of AI across an organization, building advocacy and buy‑in, and translating emerging capabilities into practical, scalable use cases that improve productivity, insights, and decision‑making.
  • Proven ability to manage and drive multiple projects simultaneously, applying disciplined project management practices to deliver outcomes on time, within scope, and aligned to business priorities.
  • Demonstrated, seasoned business acumen developed through sustained experience, with deep understanding of headcount dynamics, business strategy, and priorities, and the ability to consistently align customer objectives to organizational and financial goals.
  • Proven experience serving as an executive-level representative in customer briefings, vendor engagements, QBRs, and industry forums, with a demonstrated track record of engaging and influencing C‑suite stakeholders.
  • Travel required for customer meetings, vendor engagements, and conferences. (30%)
