Job Description

The Chief of Staff (CoS) position, reporting to the SVP, Digital Technology Go To Market (DT GTM), plays a pivotal and elevated role in transforming the business to drive lasting impact for the organization. With a human first mentality, the ideal candidate is a versatile, proven relationship builder and an intellectually curious individual who can develop trust with key leaders and stakeholders across the organizations to "make it happen."
The CoS will be expected to demonstrate problem-solving skills, be proactive and drive focus on the highest priorities. This role will handle several principal duties, all focused on making time, information and decision processes more effective for the team. Therefore, the candidate must be able to combine strategic thought leadership and strong execution with organizational savvy to drive action and results.
In this role, the CoS will work closely with executives, product management, portfolio management, finance, cross functional teams, executive communications, business operations and other CoS to assess the changing needs and provide solutions that help achieve business goals. The CoS position will be a thoughtful steward of our values as a company and organization.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team responsible for finance, communications, and people culture
  • Oversee P&L for DT GTM and make recommendations on investments and reductions to meet financial goals
  • Partner with the SVP of DT GTM to align on strategic initiatives and drive organization-wide product initiatives with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders
  • Drive the operational rhythms required to ensure the effective monitoring and analysis of critical KPIs for the GTM product and the engineering leadership team
  • Increase in decision-making velocity to ensure we innovate faster for our customers and partners by constantly removing internal inhibitors
  • Act as the key representative of SVP and executives, identifying and executing on opportunities for greater alignment, coordination and synergies across DT GTM and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with HR, Executive Communications and Corporate Communications to ensure regular and transparent communication with the leadership team, stakeholders and the entire DT organization to showcase the value of DT GTM and why our work and strategic partnership matters
  • Demonstrate customer zero and gain a deep knowledge and understanding of ServiceNow's product portfolio and strategic direction and share the story of GTM on how we're solving business challenges
  • Partner with HR to enhance our culture with help leading our efforts around belonging as well as diversity and inclusion
  • Lead initiatives focused on employee engagement, satisfaction and retention, and partner with HR and talent to oversee recruitment, performance management and employee relations


Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff role at a high growth company, preferably a managed technology Go to Market organization (Marketing, Sales, Partners)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or similar field required
  • Track record of managing $100M organization P&L.
  • Hands-on budget planning and management experience with meticulous attention to detail and diligent follow-through
  • Creative structure and focus for broad, ambiguous ideas that the team is exploring and bring forth recommendations for action
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills, including creative thinking and willingness to work hands-on to deliver impactful outcomes
  • Influence across leaders, stakeholders, peers and individual contributors
  • Aligned with leadership teams to develop annual objectives and coordinate organization-wide goals and report quarterly accomplishments
  • Ability to set clear direction by defining goals and priorities, and evaluate and support the leadership and business needs
  • Thought leadership, analyzing and synthesizing data to understand the pros and cons of different decisions and options
  • Strong desire for achieving excellence in employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, partner satisfaction and support service delivery
  • Managed and created communications to increase visibility of senior executives, leaders and initiatives for organizations
  • Developed content and presentation decks for quarterly business reviews, all hand and other key operational meetings
  • Data-driven approach to measure success, with focus on ongoing improvement and aligning actions with broader business goals and adapting based on insights and trends to achieve sustained progress
