Sr DevX Engineer

The Role

We’re hiring a Senior DevX Engineer to own and evolve the developer experience, internal tooling, and platform foundations at AskElephant. This is a hands-on, in-office role for a senior engineer who thrives on enabling other engineers, improving systems holistically, and working closely with product, infra, and AI-heavy workflows.

You’ll be a force multiplier for the engineering team—reducing friction, improving reliability, supporting compliance efforts, and helping ensure our platform can safely and efficiently support a growing suite of AI-driven features.
What You’ll Do

• Own the end-to-end developer experience across local development, CI/CD, and deployment.

• Build internal tools, libraries, and workflows that improve velocity, reliability, and confidence.

• Partner closely with engineers to unblock issues, improve documentation, and raise engineering standards.

• Establish best practices, guardrails, and patterns that scale with the team.

• Design, build, and maintain core platform components on GCP

• Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness.

• Collaborate with product engineers to ensure infrastructure supports product and AI workloads.

• Work closely with teams integrating multiple AI into their development workflows

• Build abstractions and tooling to make AI systems easier to develop, test, evaluate, and operate.

• Support experimentation while ensuring reliability and production readiness.

• Play a key role in compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2), including tooling, processes, and documentation.

• Help implement secure-by-default patterns around data access, secrets, and environments.

• Ensure developer workflows align with security, privacy, and operational requirements.

Required

• 6–10+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong background in developer experience, platform, or infrastructure-adjacent engineering.

• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP strongly preferred).

• Experience supporting and enabling other engineers at scale.

• Solid backend experience with APIs, databases (Postgres), and event-driven systems.

• Experience working with AI systems, tooling, or model integrations.

• Comfort working in an in-office, highly collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading or owning DevX or internal platform initiatives.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).

• Experience with GraphQL APIs and schema design.

• Startup or early-growth company experience.
