JOB OVERVIEW: We seek a highly skilled and experienced Sr. DevOps Engineer specializing in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of DevOps processes and be responsible for configuring, managing, optimizing, and automating the CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and automated workflows for code integration and deployment.

As a Sr. DevOps Engineer in our dynamic e-commerce team, you will be at the heart of our continuous delivery pipeline. You will be responsible for developing and supporting the CI/CD processes that empower our team to deliver delightful web/mobile experiences for customers across various brands. In a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Technical Leads, Solution Architects, other Software Engineers, Performance Engineers, and Quality Engineers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design, configure, and maintain the CI/CD pipelines for various applications to support automated testing and deployment processes.

  • Function as an SME for GitHub and CI/CD ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with automation and performance SMEs to ensure pipeline reduces and implements automated smoke/fuzz/integration/performance testing.
  • Ensure that the pipeline audits/enforces various policies (security, coding standards, code coverage, etc.)
  • Work closely with development teams to securely, reliably, and efficiently integrate their code changes into the application.
  • Ensure the CI/CD pipelines are optimized for speed and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools to track performance, usage, and issues within the CI/CD processes.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to enhance the infrastructure and application deployment strategies.
  • Manage version control systems and branching strategies to align with the project workflows.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for CI/CD processes, tools, and configurations.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging CI/CD and DevOps technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the CI/CD pipelines as they arise.
  • Participate in regular security audits to ensure the CI/CD pipelines comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Outstanding analytical, facilitation, presentation, and communication skills in driving decisions and team consensus at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Proficient understanding of tools like Jenkins. Ansible and GitHub
  • Sound Understanding of DevOps principles.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Bash, Python) for automation
  • Familiarity with eCommerce SaaS Software (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce) and their deployment methodologies
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement
  • Ability to champion major technical transformation initiatives within the organization.
  • Demonstrated passion for end-to-end ownership.
  • Relentlessly keeps up to date on new and emerging technologies.
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Azure tools and applications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of solid, disciplined experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • 5+ Experience with GitHub and branching strategies.
  • 2+ Experience with CI/CD pipeline/process based on the "pipeline as code."
  • 2+ Experience with CI/CD pipeline that separates code from configuration.
