About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
We're hiring DevOps talent across levels — from Senior DevOps Engineer to DevOps Architect — to support enterprise Salesforce implementations. This posting covers both levels; candidates will be matched to the appropriate role based on experience.
The Salesforce DevOps Architect/Engineer is responsible for advising, designing, and managing deployment orchestration solutions for complex Salesforce implementations. This role requires close collaboration with Delivery Managers, Technical Architects, Solution Architects, and Account Teams, as well as direct client engagement to architect and deliver DevOps solutions tailored to client needs.
This is a hands-on role involving both architectural work and, when necessary, deployment execution. You are both a big-picture thinker and an in-depth problem solver, with broad and deep technical expertise, taking pride in designing resilient systems that withstand high volumes and critical demands while balancing technical and enterprise-level considerations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and manage expectations.
- Assess existing DevOps processes, tools, and practices, recommending improvements.
- Design, present, and implement best-fit DevOps solutions, considering customer needs, tool preferences, and commercial constraints.
- Drive the selection and implementation of DevOps tools and technologies.
- Lead DevOps design sessions, architect solutions, and document best practices (Architect level); lead setup and execution of DevOps frameworks for small-to-medium projects and support Architects on larger engagements (Senior Engineer level).
- Develop and enforce DevOps frameworks and governance models for consistency across deployments.
- Provide oversight and governance of Salesforce projects.
- Ensure successful continuous delivery deployments across environments.
- Support pre-sales activities, including discovery sessions, technical deep dives, and proof-of-concept (PoC) development.
- Collaborate with Salesforce product teams to support client implementations.
- Champion an AI-first development/DevOps workflow using advanced AI developer assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate Salesforce development, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment processes while maintaining platform security, performance, governance, and Salesforce best practices.
- Practical fluency with AI coding assistants and modern development/DevOps ecosystems to maximize productivity, automate workflows, document implementations, and deliver secure, scalable, high-quality solutions.
- Travel to client sites as needed (estimated 50-75%, Architect level).
Requirements (Technical Skillset)
- 6+ years of Salesforce platform experience (Senior DevOps Engineer) or 10+ years of CRM experience with at least 8 years on the Salesforce platform (DevOps Architect), with a focus on DevOps, release management, and CI/CD implementation.
- Expert/strong knowledge of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Experience, Industries (Vlocity), and Data Cloud.
- Strong understanding of environment management, release management, version control best practices, and deployment methodologies.
- Understanding of branching strategies (Git Flow, Trunk-based development, Feature branching).
- Salesforce Development Lifecycle – Metadata API, SFDX (Salesforce DX), Salesforce CLI, Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Salesforce Release & Deployment Strategies – Sandbox management, source-driven development, Change Sets, Unlocked & Managed Packages.
- Experience with CI/CD tools: Copado, Flosum, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI.
- Experience with Version Control Systems – Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, Azure Repos.
- Experience with Docker image building, orchestration, and pipelines, and security integration into CI/CD.
- Experience with test automation (Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, TOSCA, TestNG, Selenium, WebDriver, JUnit, JMeter, ApexUnit).
- Experience with code quality/security tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx, PMD).
- Understanding of performance monitoring tools (Salesforce Event Monitoring, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
- Strong client-facing communication skills; ability to lead small/medium projects or support Architects on large-scale programs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Salesforce certifications (active or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. citizenship required for this role).
