Role Purpose

Design and development of automotive Exterior TRIM

Reporting to

Sr. Manager / section manager / Tech lead

Responsibilities/ task

Key Responsibilities with brief description according to priority

  • Design, development of exterior products like Bumper system, FEM, claddings, spoiler & rocker moldings, Glazing, Wiper/Mirrors etc.
  • Should be able to design and develop the master section, concept detailing independently.
  • Candidate should have executed at least couple of related engineering projects throughout the product lifecycle.
  • creation and modification of CAD models and drawings in required CAD software (Catia-V5)
  • To follow defined Magna Steyr processes, customer standards and maintain quality and delivery targets in day-to-day customer deliveries.
  • Customer data management
  • Perform quality check as per established guidelines.
  • Guide, support and train Engineers & Junior Engineers in day-to-day design activities.
  • Whenever required take responsibility of a product and manage small team to execute the tasks.
  • Should be Flexible enough to take the job assignment at any customer location (Domestic & Global assignment) as mentioned in the appointment letter.

Critical Skill Sets (Technical)

·Good knowledge in CATIA V5 (3D + 2D).
  • Exposure to automotive engineering and design.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team orientation and willingness to learn new skills.
  • CAD-CATIA V5 (3D+2D) skills
  • More than 6 years of total professional experience
  • Experience of automotive plastic product design

3.5 to 5

Critical Skill Sets (Behavioral)

Good behavioral and attitude skill.

English / Hindi. German will be added advantage.
