Position Overview

As part of the talented Demand Planning team, the Senior Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for leading the development and management of an 18-month rolling demand plan for Mercury propulsion products as a critical input into the company's integrated Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. This role serves as a key business partner across Sales, Product Management, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to translate market intelligence, customer trends, and business strategies into actionable demand forecasts.

The Senior Demand Planning Analyst drives forecast accuracy, identifies demand risks and opportunities, facilitates cross-functional alignment, and provides strategic insights that support business growth, inventory optimization, and operational decision-making. The role also leads continuous improvement initiatives and advances forecasting methodologies.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the development, validation, and maintenance of demand forecasts for assigned propulsion product families and customer channels by integrating statistical models, market intelligence, macroeconomic indicators, commercial strategies, financial plans, customer insights, and new product introductions.
  • Own the monthly demand planning process, facilitating cross-functional discussions to achieve alignment on volume, mix, timing, assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Analyze demand trends, forecast performance, and key business drivers to provide actionable recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and present demand planning insights, scenarios, and recommendations to support executive decision-making within the SIOP process.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and Operations teams to improve forecast visibility and strengthen demand signal quality.
  • Lead forecast performance reviews, including analysis of forecast accuracy, bias, and error metrics, while driving corrective actions to improve results.
  • Proactively identify emerging market trends, customer shifts, and business risks that may impact demand and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the forecasting and demand planning process through advanced analytics, automation, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for demand planning systems, tools, and processes, supporting organizational capability development and adoption of enhanced forecasting techniques.

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field (Supply Chain, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Marketing, Market Research, or similar discipline).
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, forecasting, analytics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional planning processes and influencing decisions across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience translating complex data into business insights and recommendations.
  • Advanced communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to facilitate alignment among diverse teams.
  • Experience utilizing statistical forecasting techniques and interpreting forecast performance metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence/reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • CPIM, CSCP, CPF, or APICS certification.
  • Experience with Oracle, Demantra, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, or other demand planning and forecasting platforms.
  • Experience leading forecasting transformation, process improvement, or planning system implementation initiatives.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
  • Passion for boating and/or interest in marine propulsion systems.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $73,600 - $106,200 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
