Job Summary
The Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst - Leveraging AI for Automation of Data Pipelines and BI. Develops and operates scalable security data, analytics, and reporting capabilities that provide a centralized view of risk across FreeWheel and Comcast. This role integrates data from cloud security, application security, asset management, AI Security, vulnerability management, and other security domains into trusted data pipelines, dashboards, and compliance reporting. The analyst works independently and across multiple engineering and security teams to define actionable severity and priority models, establish remediation service-level agreements, improve data quality, and drive timely risk reduction.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
• Designing, building, and maintaining automated security data pipelines, ETL processes, data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions that consolidate information from multiple teams and data sources.
• Administering, optimizing, and supporting Splunk Enterprise, including SmartStore, and Splunk Enterprise Security capabilities used for security analytics, reporting, and operational visibility.
• Developing centralized security reporting across cloud security, application security, asset management, artificial intelligence, vulnerability management, compliance, and related security domains.
• Partnering with security, engineering, product, infrastructure, governance, risk, and compliance teams to define reporting requirements, authoritative data sources, metrics, and data-quality controls.
• Creating clear executive, operational, and compliance dashboards that translate complex security data into actionable insights, trends, risks, and remediation priorities.
• Defining and evolving severity and priority models, remediation service-level agreements, exception criteria, and escalation paths for different types of findings and vulnerabilities.
• Monitoring remediation performance and driving adherence to agreed service-level agreements across engineering groups through transparent metrics, stakeholder engagement, and follow-through.
• Integrating Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management (CAASM) and related asset inventory data to improve asset coverage, ownership, exposure visibility, and risk prioritization.
• Automating recurring compliance reporting and evidence collection while maintaining traceability, accuracy, appropriate access controls, and audit readiness.
• Evaluating data gaps, duplicate or conflicting records, pipeline failures, and reporting inconsistencies; coordinating corrective actions with source-system owners.
• Supporting security analytics and reporting for public cloud environments, with an emphasis on AWS services, security telemetry, asset context, and control status.
• Communicating recommendations, tradeoffs, dependencies, and risk clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders across FreeWheel and Comcast.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Experience with business intelligence, security reporting, dashboards, ETL, data integration, and data pipeline technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security; experience with Splunk SmartStore is preferred in addition to other similar technologies.
• Proven experience with using AI tools both for development and other security workflows.
• Experience integrating data from multiple teams and source systems into a centralized security reporting or analytics platform.
• Experience with security compliance reporting, control evidence, metrics, and audit-support processes.
• Experience with CAASM, attack surface management, asset inventory, exposure management, or comparable security data platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to define severity and priority models and remediation service-level agreements, and to influence engineering teams to meet them.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including vulnerabilities, findings, controls, asset ownership, risk, and remediation workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders across FreeWheel and Comcast.
• Familiarity with public cloud security and AWS is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve ambiguous data problems, and deliver reliable reporting with limited supervision.

Salary:
Illinois Pay Range: $107,243.85 - $160,865.77
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
