We are currently seeking a Senior Security Engineer - AI & Automation to join our Information Security team. This role offers the opportunity to shape and operate cutting-edge AI-driven security capabilities within a modern SaaS environment, helping protect a rapidly growing global platform.
Performance Objectives
- Architect and operate AI-driven security automation across Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Entra, and Purview.
- Design and manage AI security agents for incident triage, threat hunting, and automated response.
- Build and maintain integrations (e.g. MCP servers, Azure Functions) connecting security tooling with AI agent frameworks.
- Lead detection engineering, including KQL development, validation, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Optimise security platform performance and cost (e.g. Sentinel Data Lake, Copilot consumption).
- Drive identity-aware automation in collaboration with IAM teams.
- Lead security architecture reviews for new platforms, AI tools, and integrations.
- Establish and promote engineering standards for detection-as-code, AI agents, and automation workflows.
- Mentor team members on AI-assisted security operations and responsible AI practices.
Competitive Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of security engineering experience, including hands-on work with Microsoft security technologies.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Entra ID, and Security Copilot.
- Proven experience designing and operating AI-assisted security workflows or automation.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native environments and serverless automation (e.g. Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
- Advanced skills in KQL, with experience in detection engineering and threat hunting.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
- Experience with identity security, Zero Trust architecture, and access management.
- Familiarity with AI agent frameworks, MCP servers, or multi-agent orchestration is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical topics for diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; relevant certifications (e.g. SC-200, AZ-500, CISSP) are plus.
