The Opportunity
The US Procurement Partnering team sits within the Global Procurement organization and leads enterprise-wide category management and strategic sourcing across all non-technology spend categories. The team partners directly with senior business leaders to architect high-impact sourcing strategies, execute complex negotiations, and transform how third-party value is realized across the enterprise. The Procurement Partnering team is undergoing a significant evolution toward a value-driven operating model, expanding its influence and spend coverage through streamlined processes, enhanced technologies and AI capabilities, and deeper executive engagement.
As a Sr. Consultant, Procurement Partnering, you will operate as a senior individual contributor responsible for leading high-value, cross-functional sourcing engagements across multiple lines of business.
This role is designed for a self-sustaining procurement leader who:
- Owns end-to-end sourcing execution across all indirect categories
- Leads complex, high-spend negotiations independently
- Partners directly with VP+ stakeholders
- Plays a critical role in architecting innovative commercial constructs, including AI, data, SaaS, and digital transformation transactions
You will be expected to proactively identify opportunities, lead sourcing strategy, and deliver measurable value across cost, risk, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Lead and architect the most complex, cross-LOB sourcing initiatives across all strategic categories (e.g., Professional Services, BPO, Consulting, Marketing, HR, and other niche Insurance/Financial Services-related categories), with strong engagement in technology and AI-driven deals.
- Negotiation & Deal Execution: Independently lead high-value negotiations, including pricing, commercial constructs, and contractual terms, applying structured negotiation frameworks, should-cost models, and benchmarking insights to drive optimal outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership stakeholders, aligning procurement strategies with business priorities, while proactively building and managing relationships across LOBs to identify pipeline opportunities and drive adoption of procurement strategies.
- Category & Market Insight Development: Develop and execute category strategies informed by market intelligence, supplier landscape analysis, and innovation trends, utilizing data and analytics to inform sourcing strategies, track savings, and measure value realization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7-10+ years of experience in indirect procurement, sourcing, or commercial strategy.
- Proven ability to independently lead complex sourcing initiatives ($1M-$10M+) and negotiations.
- Experience across multiple non-tech categories, with strong exposure to technology, SaaS, and AI-related sourcing.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to influence VP-level stakeholders.
- Experience with procurement tools and platforms, including intake and orchestration tools (e.g., Zip), P2P suites (e.g., Ariba, Workday), CLM solutions, and AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience structuring AI, data, or outcome-based commercial agreements.
- Expertise in supplier innovation, ecosystem design, and partnership frameworks.
- Strong understanding of risk, compliance, and third-party governance models.
- Experience contributing to procurement transformation, operating model redesign, or digital enablement initiatives
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $105,000 - $135,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
