Sr. Compensation Analyst – Columbia, SC (Hybrid)
The Sr. Compensation Analyst role is part of a team responsible for designing, analyzing, and maintaining compensation programs that support organizational objectives and ensure market competitiveness. This position provides strategic insights, partners with stakeholders, and ensures regulatory compliance while enabling efficient processes and data-driven decision-making.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and administer compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and job evaluations
- Conduct market pricing and benchmarking to ensure competitive, equitable pay practices.
- Support annual compensation processes (merit increases, bonuses, salary planning)
- Ensure compliance with compensation regulations and internal policies.
- Partner with HRIS and cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance compensation systems
- Advise leaders on pay decisions (new hires, promotions, internal equity)
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support workforce planning, organizational design, and compensation-related training
- Manage position control, headcount tracking, and alignment with budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget compliance and deliver reporting/analytics on compensation and position management.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field required
- 4–6 years of experience in compensation or related field required
- CCP or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights
- In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, market pricing, job evaluation, and compliance
- Proficiency in HRIS and data analysis tools; ability to adapt to new technologies
- Strong business acumen, communication, project management, and collaboration skills
Skills Required
