THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst to join our Sales Compensation team. This role will support the administration, validation, reporting, and ongoing management of sales compensation programs across a growing revenue organization.

The Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely commission processing, maintaining compensation plans in CaptivateIQ, resolving compensation inquiries, supporting reporting, and partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Payroll, RevOps, HR, and leadership.

This is a highly visible role that requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, hands-on CaptivateIQ experience, sound judgment, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple compensation plans, teams, and stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

  • The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in administering complex compensation plans within CaptivateIQ. They are proactive, organized, and comfortable working with sensitive compensation data. They can balance recurring operational responsibilities with ad hoc requests, investigations, and cross-functional support.
  • This person should be comfortable owning a portfolio of compensation plans while also supporting broader team initiatives, including reporting, controls, documentation, process improvement, and CaptivateIQ optimization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer assigned sales compensation plans in CaptivateIQ, including but not limited to SE and SE Leadership, Channel and Channel Leadership, Overlay, MBO-based plans, and other special incentive programs.
  • Support monthly and quarterly commission processing, including payout validation, audit checks, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update compensation rules, plan logic, participant data, crediting, quotas, hierarchies, and payout calculations within CaptivateIQ.
  • Review and validate commissionable data, including bookings, attainment, crediting, splits, hierarchy assignments, quotas, and plan eligibility.
  • Investigate and resolve compensation inquiries, disputes, and exceptions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Payroll, RevOps, HR, and Sales Leadership to research and resolve compensation-related issues.
  • Support the issuance, tracking, and documentation of compensation plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of plan rules, processes, exceptions, approvals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with compensation reporting, including payout summaries, attainment reporting, inquiry tracking, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and control enhancements within the compensation process.
  • Provide backup support across other compensation plan areas and assist with cross-training to improve team coverage.
  • Support annual and mid-year compensation plan rollouts, plan testing, and communication efforts.
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of hands-on CaptivateIQ experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales compensation, finance, revenue operations, sales operations, payroll, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience administering compensation plans, validating payouts, building compensation logic, and researching commission-related inquiries.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data validation.
  • Experience working with large data sets and performing detailed reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, especially during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cycles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including drafting compensation plan documents
  • Ability to explain compensation calculations and policies clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Payroll, RevOps, HR, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with SaaS sales compensation plans, including AE, SDR/BDR, SE, Channel, Overlay, and leadership plans.
  • Experience supporting MBOs, SPIFFs, one-off incentive plans, or special compensation programs.
  • Experience with reporting or BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Basic SQL knowledge or experience querying data is a plus.
  • Prior experience improving or optimizing compensation processes within CaptivateIQ.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION: 

Compensation Range: $100,000-130,000.

The range represents total compensation, and may include incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.

This compensation range represents Cyera’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and Cyera may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. The final salary for this position will be determined in Cyera’s sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of Cyera’s business and other operational considerations.

Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements.

This role may be eligible for potential merit increases based on factors such as individual or company performance, time in role, and other discretionary factors.
