Senior Campaign Developer

Description

Senior Campaign Developer is responsible for end-to-end technical coding for email campaigns and email template development (inclusive of HTML conversion, platform integration, quality assurance, editing, testing, and deployment). This role ensures consistency with brand elements and deliverers a flexible email framework to enable dynamic content. He/she will also assist with discovery, design, and execution of email project work.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced knowledge of email platform(s) including delivery system
  • Architect templates/wireframes for dynamic mailings
  • Work with team members across technical divisions to scope, design, and implement technical solutions for dynamic email projects.
  • Perform basic updates of transactional messages
  • Deliver training for internal teams on procedures, best practices, and platform
  • Create & maintain internal and client-facing role related documentation
  • Build, test, and implement content for automated campaigns including advanced dynamic content
  • Contribute to testing and development of best practices and platform rendering support
  • Implement advanced dynamic content through server-side scripts, XML, RSS, MVT, etc., on ad hoc, automated, and real-time campaigns as platform requires
  • Work on basic, front-end web page features such as opt out, viral, survey, registration and preference pages.
  • Integrate 3rd party solutions into email content (Liveclicker, LiveIntent, Movable Ink, etc.)
  • Create and modify static landing pages as needed
  • Perform code & creative reviews to optimize emails
  • Hand-code HTML files optimized for email
  • Responsive and fluid conversion of Photoshop documents to HTML optimized for dynamic email
  • Act as content creation expert for clients and account team(s)
  • Work with pre-existing or client-provided HTML files and provide simple design and image editing; make suggestions for coding improvements as needed
  • Integrate email content into email platform(s) for campaign deployment, including CAN-SPAM requirements
  • Coordinate email content (e.g. images, tracking codes, etc.) and change requests with account team and clients
  • Consult and troubleshoot on HTML/text templates, dynamic content personalization, and URL issues
  • Conduct content quality assurance checks to ensure the final mailing meets client expectations
  • Follow code & QA best practices
  • Meet scheduled deadlines

 Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of email development experience
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS for email
  • Advanced knowledge of responsive code optimized for email
  • Intermediate knowledge of fluid code optimized for email
  • Intermediate knowledge of XML
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated communication skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines using strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Effectively problem solve in individual and in group settings
  • Team player who is comfortable with self-direction
  • Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks
  • Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop
  • Experience with XML and JSON
  • Advanced experience with one or more email platforms
  • Intermediate knowledge of JavaScript or platform specific scripting language
  • Familiarity with Jira or another workflow tool a plus
  • Understanding of database structures, PL/SQL skills a plus
