About the Team: 

We are looking for a Senior CAD Administrator to join our rapidly growing Engineering Applications team at our headquarters in Long Beach, CA. In this role, you will collaborate closely with team members to support all aspects of the engineering process across multiple disciplines: Fluids Systems, Structures, Avionics, Propulsion, Test & Launch, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Your primary responsibilities will center on SIEMENS NX and Teamcenter PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) application support for Engineering teams, including evaluating and testing new software products, delivering user training, and providing technical administration to ensure robust CAD/PLM capabilities.

About the Role:

  • Development and delivery of expert-level SIEMENS Teamcenter, NX/ NX-CAM, Simcenter3D software application level support, troubleshooting, solution provider, new and innovative technology and tool provider
  • Full understanding of Teamcenter Browser based AWC (Active Workspace Client) User Interface (UI) with NX
  • Provide training, full documentation as well as coordination of all training activities
  • Timely support of IT Service Desk support tickets, Engineering SLACK channel support for Teamcenter and NX
  • Support managing Standard Parts Library and participate in creation of Part Families as needed in ongoing support of Mechanical Routing application (Tubing and Piping), Cadenas PARTsolutions library
  • Design, Test and Deployment of NX configurations including managing Templates, Customizations and Preferences, Engineering drawing release with Teamcenter Workflows, ECO (Engineering Change Order) workflows
  • Developing & documenting Design Engineering Best Practices etc
  • Conduct periodic training, Lunch and Learn sessions

About You:

  • 5+ years’ experience in SIEMENS NX, Teamcenter.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of design principles
  • NX Administration / Configuration experience
  • Experience in Production environment support for Teamcenter/NX managed environment, TC Workflows, installation /visualization NX integration (AWC – Active Workspace Client) etc
  • Experience with NX Part Families, Standard Parts Library Management

Nice to haves but not required:  

  • Experience and deep knowledge in CAE – Analysis and Simulation tools e.g. SIEMENS Simcenter 3D, Simcenter STAR-CCM, ANSYS, HEEDS, FEMAP with NX NASTRAN, etc.
  • BA/BS desired; may substitute experience for degree
  • Other MCAD (Mechanical CAD) e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk/AutoCAD Inventor etc. a plus.
  • Programming skills, Python, C++, KF, Visual Basic, NX Open

Hiring Range:
$122,000$182,000 USD

Skills Required

  • 5+ years experience in SIEMENS NX
