Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise & Solution Analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes through technology and recommend solution approaches aligned to enterprise strategy.
- Analyze complex business and system impacts of proposed changes and clearly communicate trade-offs and recommendations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners on system capabilities, constraints, and optimization opportunities.
- Agile Delivery & Project Leadership
- Lead or contribute to multiple initiatives using appropriate delivery and tracking methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall as applicable).
- Produce clear documentation including scope, requirements, dependencies, risks, and release/implementation plans.
- Provide regular, concise status updates to stakeholders and delivery teams.
- User Story & Requirements Development
- Elicit and document requirements using techniques such as workshops, interviews, prototyping, and process walkthroughs.
- Develop high-quality epics, features, and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Ensure requirements are clear, testable, traceable, and aligned with defined standards.
- Collaborate closely with developers and QA to ensure shared understanding of requirements, designs, and expected outcomes.
- Quality Assurance & Testing
- As part of the development team to execute on effective test strategies, including functional and regression testing affirming all acceptance criteria has been met.
- Participate in reviews of requirements, designs, and code to ensure quality and completeness, including both positive and negative test cases are included.
- Proactively identify risks, defects, and gaps through analysis and testing activities.
- Production Support
- Diagnose and manage complex production issues to resolution, working closely with technical teams.
- Provide clear, actionable diagnostic information and recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with end users and stakeholders during issue resolution.
- Training & Enablement
- Develop user documentation and training materials for new or enhanced system functionality.
- Deliver training and knowledge transfer as needed to ensure successful adoption.
Qualifications & Skills
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, preferably supporting web-based applications
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience working on Agile teams, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Working knowledge of analysis and modeling techniques (process flows, use cases, diagrams)
- Experience with manual and automated testing approaches
- Technical familiarity with SQL, HTML, XML, JSON is a plus
- Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new systems and processes within Protective
