POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Business Process Improvement Specialist will focus on leveraging AI and related technology innovations across the entire selling cycle for increased efficiency and effectiveness. While the role will address the entire sales process (Lead to Opportunity to Quote to Order + Commissions), this role with be the business owner and Subject Matter Expert on the CPQ (Configure Price Quote) system.
This role will ensure that the sales systems are designed and operated in alignment with key initiatives across the organization and are efficient for interaction by field sales, application engineers, order coordinators, and other internal sales operations functions.
The ideal candidate is process oriented with strong understanding of how systems should work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and execute sales systems and process strategy with a focus on the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) elements for all stakeholders. Evaluate how to best implement AI and related automations to improve both effectiveness and efficiency of the selling cycle. Drive user adoption.
- Work with cross-functional teams to map and improve sales systems and process
- Work with IT teams to design and release system changes in CRM, CPQ and related systems to improve the user experience
- Leverage AI and related technologies in sales systems for automation and improve speed and quality
- Develop "standard work instructions" for each Sales Operations area
- Drive change management practices to achieve and sustain improvement benefits
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Sales Operations, Project Management, Order Processing, Sales, Process Improvement roles
- Sales system design and process curiosity (CRM, CPQ, Order Intake, Commission calculations)
- AI and system automation passion for sales improvements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to cross-functional audiences
- Customer-focused mindset — understands what drives satisfaction and prioritizes accordingly
Analytical problem-solver with the ability to identify and address root causes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with CRM, CPQ and / or ERP systems
- MBA or Six Sigma Black Belt, or PMO certification or training
