Role Summary
The Senior Process Analyst plays a critical role in defining and modelling future-state business processes that enable successful implementation of FNZ’s platform solutions for our clients. Operating as a subject matter expert in BPMN and end-to-end process modelling, the Senior PA translates approved requirements and solutions into accurate, scalable business process artefacts that support delivery, testing, business readiness, and operational adoption.
The Senior PA collaborates closely with Solution Consultants, Functional Leads, Product, QA, Business Readiness and client SMEs to ensure that business processes are complete, compliant, traceable, and aligned with the agreed proposition and future-state operating model. The role balances hands-on modelling expertise with leadership in methodology, deep industry knowledge, quality assurance, and capability development across the Process Analysis team.
Key Responsibilities
Process Modelling & Analysis
Produce high-quality BPMN 2.0 future-state process models at the required descriptive and analytical levels, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to methodologies.
Incorporate approved requirements, Operating Model components, system interactions, configuration considerations, business rules, and regulatory obligations into process models.
Decompose complex end-to-end journeys into repeatable and reusable sub-processes, enabling consistency and scalability across clients.
Ensure process models clearly express functional intent and provide an unambiguous foundation for QA, business readiness, and operational teams.
Traceability, Documentation & Quality
Maintain end-to-end traceability between process activities and Jira stories, functional requirements, systems, integrations, regulatory controls, outputs, and procedures.
Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or ambiguities in requirements and collaborate with Solution Consultants and Functional Leads to resolve them.
Perform quality assurance reviews of process artefacts produced by junior analysts, ensuring adherence to modelling standards and completeness.
Support QA teams by ensuring processes provide the clarity required for scenario and test case definition.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Client Engagement
Facilitate and lead process walkthroughs with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and securing approval of future-state processes.
Collaborate with Solution Consultants on clarifications that impact proposition alignment or functional design.
Work with Product Owners, Project Managers and Business Readiness teams to coordinate modelling priorities, review cycles, and delivery milestones.
Engage with client SMEs to validate operational details and ensure business processes reflect the intended operating model.
Methodology, Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Act as an SME in BPMN and modelling best practices, contributing to the evolution of modelling standards, templates, and methodologies.
Mentor and support junior Process Analysts, providing coaching, feedback, and hands-on guidance.
Drive continuous improvement in process modelling quality, efficiency, and consistency across the team.
Support Solution Consultants through detailed process analysis that informs proposition refinement, where required.
Experience & Skills Required
Required Industry Knowledge
General investment/wealth/life and/or pensions products and the markets in which FNZ and our customers operate.
FNZ Platform expertise preferred, including being an SME in at least 6 functional areas of the platform.
For the jurisdiction being hired for, an understanding of the regulatory environment FNZ operates within and a knowledge of the upcoming changes.
6+ years of experience in a delivery/consulting environment in financial services/wealth market.
5+ years of experience in business analysis or process analysis roles within the wealth management or financial services sector.
Strong understanding of Canadian wealth domain concepts, products, and operating processes; depth in multiple functional areas preferred.
Familiarity with Canadian investment product types (RRSP, TFSA, RIF, LIF, etc.) and industry service providers (exchanges, depositories, custodians).
Experience working in Agile delivery environments; comfortable with requirements management tools such as Jira and Confluence
Required Knowledge & Skills
1st class degree or equivalent experience
Experience working within a business analysis / consulting role.

Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style.
Commercially aware and able to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
Intermediate computer skills essential.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience facilitating stakeholder workshops.
Confident in dealing with internal and external clients.
Expert knowledge of BPMN 2.0 with at least 3 years of hands-on process modelling experience at Level 2 Analytical depth.
Ability to interpret and translate requirements into accurate and scalable process models.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a delivery-focused environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting consulting engagements or platform implementation projects.
Knowledge of wealth operations, regulations and compliance frameworks.
