Position Description
As we are expanding its Market Making business across the ASEAN, Europe, and EMEA regions, now seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in this growth. In this position, the analyst will gather and analyse requirements from business units and stakeholders, translate them into detailed specifications, and collaborate closely with developers to deliver technical solutions in a timely manner. Additionally, analyst will conduct comprehensive testing prior to launch and facilitate front-to-back integration to ensure seamless operational continuity.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Coordinate with the business to maintain and enhance existing operations, including Issuance cycles and pre-trade and post-trade processes of various market making businesses, ensuring seamless and efficient workflow integration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, engaging with business stakeholders to recommend and develop effective technical solutions.
Translate business needs into technical solutions coordinate with developers to develop workflow, processes and seamlessly integrating front-to-back systems.
Stay informed about the Exchanges’ policies, requirements, and recent updates. Perform impact analysis and coordinate responses to ensure the technical solutions remain compliant and aligned.
Ensure solutions are compliant with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to the latest company’s practices.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of functional requirements, system design specifications, and user manuals to facilitate regulatory compliance and support knowledge transfer.
Conduct thorough testing of new features and system enhancements prior to deployment, documenting all results for audit trail and compliance verification.
Provide training and detailed documentation to support teams, promoting knowledge sharing and contributing to the long-term sustainability of business operations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Around 5-8 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in the securities and derivatives brokerage industry, preferably in quity derivatives and market-making businesses across Hong Kong and APAC markets.
Strong knowledge of trading-system architecture, direct exchange and vendor-provided market data feeds, the FIX protocol, and major exchange protocols.
Hands-on experience with Python and SQL; knowledge of C++ would be an advantage.
Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies, such as Control-M, Apache Airflow, Jinja, Postman, and Chronicle Queue.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals and Unix/Linux environments as well as command-line operations.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, including fluency in Mandarin.
