Summary:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will provide the analysis that underpins the strategic planning cycle for automotive vehicle development, build the models that frame strategic choices, and prepare the materials leadership uses to make decisions. The team you will join manages the planning, cost, resourcing, and reporting work that keeps a large engineering organization aligned on what it is building, when, and at what cost. This role suits someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex work and is comfortable partnering with senior leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual and quarterly strategic planning cycle for vehicle development by building planning models, defining objectives and KPIs with engineering directors, and tracking them throughout the year.
  • Build business cases for cross-functional strategic initiatives, such as organizational changes, new site or capability launches, and cost-reduction programs, by sizing costs, benefits, and risks and tracking results after launch.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations, briefs, and pre-reads for leadership reviews, change boards, and company planning forums, then turn the discussion into documented decisions and action items.
  • Build and maintain the dashboards and status reports used in vehicle development leadership meetings, and track follow-up on commitments.
  • Build financial, headcount, and scenario models from organizational and program data to frame strategic options and recommendations, in partnership with Cost Engineering, Finance, and Resource Planning.
  • Identify gaps in how plans are set, tracked, and reported, and design simple, repeatable processes and templates that the wider organization can adopt.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with at least 5 years of experience in corporate strategy, business or financial analysis, management consulting, or business operations.
  • Experience building financial, headcount, or scenario models and translating results into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting planning and goal-setting processes, such as KPIs, annual operating plans, or quarterly business reviews.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build concise presentations and documents for executive audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and work with large data sets in spreadsheets, SQL, or business intelligence tools.

The pay range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base pay only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.

What We Do

Goken America is an engineering & technology services company that works collaboratively to make a notable difference for its clients, team members, and the communities in which its employees live and work. Goken understands that to achieve real change, its associates must be empowered. They must have the tools to explore and build, and the passion to share empathy and understanding. The key to Goken’s singular business model is the company’s relentless drive to be more than a technical services company. This means that Goken leaders must place uncommon trust and value in the teams and the talent who facilitate the organization’s fearless approach to problem-solving and client engagement. To uncover the root causes of workforce issues, faltering production cycles, and other challenges, empowered Goken associates take the time to immerse themselves in client cultural underpinnings. Then, Goken adds competitive value with a multi-dimensional approach that requires more than simply adding human capital. Instead, striking the perfect balance between a customer’s wants and needs, Goken infuses change techniques with technology; skills training with organizational development; and staffing projects with managed services. Rather than a blueprint of static deliverables, Goken is a nimble provider of engineering and technology solutions that, because they are sustainable and repeatable, accelerate product development and deliver clients the advantage of time. Time to get ahead of the competition. Time to focus on business development. Time to innovate and shape trends. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Goken has been making a difference for clients in the automotive, medical device, and aerospace industries since 2004.
