Grade Level (for internal use):
10The Role: Sr. Business Analyst, Corporate Actions (Grade 10).
The Team
The Managed Corporate Actions (MCA) team is responsible for defining, enhancing, and scaling corporate actions data and processing capabilities across global markets. We work closely with Operations, Product, and Technology teams to translate complex market events and issuer announcements into structured, automated, and client-ready solutions, with a strong focus on client ready to consume files (e.g., agent validation services and ISO-aligned event models).
The Impact
This role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and scalable corporate actions processing across equities, fixed income, and funds. By converting unstructured market disclosures into clear functional logic, data rules, and platform requirements, the Business Analyst improves automation, data quality, and operational efficiency, reducing exceptions and risk across the post-trade lifecycle. A key focus will be on utilities and services (such as agent validation service) and strengthening standards-based mappings, helping drive consistent outcomes across markets and sources.
What’s in it for you
Build deep subject-matter expertise in global corporate actions while working on complex, real-world market events.
Gain hands-on exposure to automation, rule engines, validation frameworks, and data platforms used by global financial institutions.
Own end-to-end BA delivery across discovery, requirements, testing, and implementation support for defined MCA initiatives.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Operations, Product, and Technology, building a path toward Senior BA / Lead BA or product-adjacent roles.
Responsibilities
Own and deliver business and functional requirements for defined corporate action initiatives/event domains, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules.
Analyze corporate actions and issuer disclosures to define event logic, workflows, key dates, options/entitlements, and exception scenarios.
Produce and maintain BA artifacts: process flows, target-state designs, data definitions, source-to-target mappings, and transformation logic for ingestion, normalization, and distribution.
Define and maintain ISO-structure-aligned event models (event taxonomy, options, key dates, narratives, validations) and drive consistent interpretation across systems and teams.
Support integration and operationalization of utilities/services (e.g., agent validation service): workflow design, validation checkpoints, exception handling, and auditability/control requirements.
Lead BA testing contributions: test planning, scenario/test case definition, UAT support, output validation, and defect triage/resolution with Technology and Operations.
What We’re Looking For
Key Qualifications
3–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst within capital markets, asset servicing, or financial data/platform environments.
Corporate actions domain exposure across equities, fixed income, and/or funds, including event lifecycle concepts (key dates, options/elections, entitlements).
Hands-on SQL capability for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and impact assessment.
Experience translating unstructured inputs into structured outputs: data models, mapping specifications, business rules, and functional logic, with working knowledge of ISO-style structures for corporate actions.
Core Skills & Attributes (soft skills)
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work on large datasets, ambiguity, and complex event-driven workflows.
Excellent documentation skills across BRDs/FSDs (or equivalent), process flows, mapping documents, and target-state designs.
Confident stakeholder engagement and alignment across Operations, Product, and Technology (and external utilities/partners where applicable).
High attention to detail and clear communication, especially around time-sensitive key dates, options, validations, and exception handling.
