Senior Analyst, Business Insights
The Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast around the globe, this agile team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include payments-focused consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business Test & Learn experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services.
The Business Insights team is focused on ensuring that all of Services can make data-driven decisions and operate effectively and efficiently. The Senior Analyst, Business Insights (Insights & Enablement) will respond positively to the following:• Have you effectively partnered with leadership across Sales, Delivery, Product, and other functions to enhance strategic decision making through data-driven insights and collaborative problem-solving?• Are you passionate about diagnosing strategic gaps and opportunities within a function's operations -- and identifying targeted solutions to address them?• Do you have a deep experience with analytics engineering and data-driven infrastructure, including data model design and usage of BI platforms?• Have you led productivity enhancements by identifying, procuring, and/or developing technology solutions aligned to business needs and operational goals?
Role (Systems Insights Focus)• Serves as strategic analytics thought partner for Services system owners and process leaders, using data-driven insights to improve the health, efficiency, and scalability of core platforms (e.g., Salesforce)• Designs and owns measurement frameworks and KPIs to assess system effectiveness, including data quality, validation accuracy, process adherence, adoption, and user experience• Executes deep-dive analysis across system usage, page layouts, workflows, and user behavior to identify opportunities to simplify experiences, improve productivity, and optimize license allocation• Translates analysis into actionable recommendations and drives the implementation of targeted solutions to improve data quality, governance, and system configuration in partnership with Operations, Technology, and Product teams• Establishes ongoing monitoring and reporting to proactively identify issues in data integrity, process breakdowns, or system performance before they impact downstream analytics or business decisions• Contributes to the evolution of analytics-enabled system governance, including documentation, standards, and best practices that support scalable growth and consistent usage across Services• Champions a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, tooling enhancements, and analytical rigor in how systems are measured and managed
All About You• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong emphasis on developing scalable, automated frameworks and processes• Strong business knowledge relevant to a given Services function - and a passion for continuous learning and domain expertise expansion • Excellent command of relevant data sets (e.g. Financial, Sales & Marketing, Costs, etc.) and strong comfort with databases and data analytic tools (e.g. SQL, ETL processes, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.)• Strong technical orientation, with experience in both Product Management-style collaboration with internal developers and the configuration of third-party technical systems• Generalist mentality with a well-rounded skill set; prior consulting or systems engineering experience strongly preferred• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization

Skills Required

  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Experience with ETL processes
  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau
  • Experience working with Salesforce (system configuration and usage analysis)
  • Analytics engineering and data model design experience
  • Strong familiarity with Financial, Sales & Marketing, and cost datasets
  • Experience collaborating with product/engineering teams and configuring third-party systems
  • Prior consulting or systems engineering experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder partnership experience
