Job Description:
The Individual in this role is responsible for implementing and growing our Infrastructure as Code practices across the enterprise. They should be able to grow our IaC library to meet the needs of any teams that need to add new infrastructure or to add new functionality to existing infrastructure. They should understand that every line of code written should be reusable across a wide variety of use cases throughout the enterprise. The candidate should have the ability to adapt and improvise in various situations, and to work independently when necessary.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps or related role.
- Knowledge of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles.
- 5+ years of experience and knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure experience required)
- 3+ years of experience with terraform.
- Knowledge of infrastructure and automation of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, and scripting.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Automate infrastructure in Azure with Terraform by writing and maintaining robust, easily consumable, standardized modules that can be incorporated into an existing CI/CD process.
- Work with project stakeholders to deliver robust, standardized applications in Azure using terraform.
- Identify engineering defects in the existing terraform code base and constantly improve the code quality.
- Update the terraform modules to assure that they run under the latest Azure and terraform releases. Work with project teams to integrate the updated modules into their release cycles.
- Support DevOps operations by integrating developed IaC into CI/CD pipeline builds.
