Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and governance of scalable cloud infrastructure. In this role, you’ll apply your deep expertise in DevOps, infrastructure provisioning, identity and access management, and advanced services such as Azure Synapse and Microsoft Fabric. Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture & Design - Design and implement secure, scalable, resilient Azure solutions, covering networks, storage, compute, databases, and advanced analytics (e.g., Synapse, Microsoft Fabric).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Automate provisioning and management using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
- CI/CD & DevOps - Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions; ensure alignment with DevOps principles.
- Cloud Migration - Support migration of on-premises systems and applications to Azure.
- Security & Compliance - Enforce security best practices using Azure Security Center, Key Vault, Conditional Access, RBAC, and compliance policies.
- Automation & Scripting - Develop scripts and tooling (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python) to streamline operations.
- Monitoring & Optimization - Maintain operational excellence with automated monitoring, alerting, self-healing, and cost/resource optimization.
- Troubleshooting & Incident Management - Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Azure infrastructure and applications.
- Collaboration & Best Practices - Partner with development teams on configuration, tagging, and cost control; foster strong communication and teamwork.
- Mentorship & Continuous Learning - Mentor junior engineers and stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features and best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with Azure cloud services
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and IaC tools
- Proven ability to secure enterprise cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of Azure Synapse, Fabric, and data lake architecture
- Experience implementing Zero Trust IAM frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
A Senior Azure Cloud Engineer is a professional specializing in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. They are responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure, often working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to streamline deployments and operations. These engineers also play a key role in cloud migration projects, security and compliance, and mentoring junior team members.
Additional Desired Skills:
- Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Cloud Security: Experience with Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, or other security tools.
