Lead Global GIDM/Spares Strategy & Risk Management
- Act as the SME for GIDM/Spares supply continuity, readiness, and resiliency at global scale.
- Solve complex, multi-variable supply risks - including tooling issues, quality escapes, and supply interruptions - with minimal guidance.
- Lead risk mitigation planning across global sites and supplier networks, driving actions for SSROP, WOS, safety stock, and alternate sourcing.
Drive Operational Excellence & KPI Ownership
You will own critical GIDM KPIs such as:
- Unplanned Zero Bin
- WOS - Non-BOM
- DTWP
- PO Excess Management
- Zero PO overdue
- Slow Moving
Lead Cross-Functional Projects & Automation Initiatives
- Lead multi-site improvement projects such as forecasting automation, WOS dashboard enhancement, COO/City cleanup, and supplier portal initiatives.
- Drive analytics, mass-update processes, and system enhancements alongside IT, CSM, PDE, Quality, MFG, and suppliers.
- Serve as a program leader for digital transformation (Tableau, SAP cleanup, automated reporting, other AI tools).
Supplier & Stakeholder Leadership
- Influence and align internal and external stakeholders to resolve high-impact supply issues.
- Represent Micron in external supplier negotiations when
- Escalate efficiently and execute recovery plans for Spares/IDM categories across regions.
Data-Driven Decision Making & Scenario Planning
- Evaluate long-term financial and operational impacts of planning decisions.
- Develop material strategies using deep knowledge of demand models, lead time behavior, forecast patterns, buy rules, and inventory optimization.
AI Learning, Proficiency, and Advocacy, AI-Integrated Responsibilities
- Progress through Micron's AI Learning Pathways, completing the AI Proficiency Assessment and developing toward Practitioner or Advocate proficiency levels.
- Participate in GP Mission: AI-Enabled, earning XP through education, exposure, experiential AI tasks and championing AI adoption across the GIDM team.
- Use Micron-approved AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Mia, Power Automate, GenAI agents, and others to streamline processes, reduce manual workload, and increase data accuracy.
- Drive automation of high-effort processes such as pricing discrepancy tracking, WOS risk identification, and supply rebalancing triggers.
- Normalize human-AI collaboration in supply management activities such as supplier communication summaries, meeting recaps, forecast analytics, and demand alignment
- Pilot AI-enabled forecasting, anomaly detection, summarization, and scenario modeling tools to improve decision velocity and accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, purchasing, or a related field
- 10~15 years in supply chain/materials management (semiconductor preferred).
- Experience with indirect materials (spares, packaging materials, trays, films, chemicals, tools).
- Strong understanding of planning automation and digital tools.
- Advanced SAP MM/MRP knowledge (forecasting, SSROP, PR/PO management, material classification).
- Strong analytics skills (O365, SharePoint, Tableau, Power BI, Power Automate, data interpretation, or equivalent will be an added advantage).
- Experience managing multi-site inventory health, WOS, and risk scenarios.
- Acts as a subject matter expert within the specialty area.
- Leads cross-functional project teams with autonomy.
- Solves complex problems and contributes to solutions across sites.
- Communicates highly complex information to influence key decisions.
- Decisions have site-level or multi-site impact, contributing to global programs.
