Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze, mine, and use statistical methods to identify patterns from various data points regarding our current product assortment
Develop reports and/or presentations leveraging data visualization tools that clearly and concisely communicate analytical findings and assortment recommendations to key stakeholders
Able to communicate and work cross-functionally with team members to identify existing business issues
Measure and optimize the effectiveness of current product assortment, deploying both established and groundbreaking techniques
Develop strong partnerships with business management teams and participate in weekly category meetings
Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the field of big data and data analytics
Support ad hoc analytic needs as requested
Qualifications
In-depth exposure to SQL. Ability to write and produce SQL queries for difficult business problems.
Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Confidence in analytical abilities, able to present and champion optimal assortment decisions
Comfortable working with big data to find insights and reach conclusions
Basic object oriented programming concepts. General knowledge of loops, if statements, objects, classes, etc.
Able to map and trace data from system to system in order to detect inaccuracies
Able to translate complex business processes and data into an easily understandable format
The Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant discipline
3-5 Years Business Analyst Experience or related field
Intermediate to Advanced SQL Skills
Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
Proven Communication and Presentation Skills
Track Record of Analytics Projects
Basic Programming Language Skills in Python or VBA
