The Digital Quality (DQ) Solution Center delivers advanced solutions that revolutionize Quality, Safety and Environmental Operations within Pfizer Global Supply (PGS). The mission of the DQ Solution Center is to empower and optimize the performance of Laboratory (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) organizations through the automation and implementation of innovative technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and excellence. The Lab Solutions team within Digital Quality is responsible for delivering, enhancing & maintaining core solutions to support the Quality Control Laboratories and product release within Pfizer Global Supply worldwide.
The LIMS team is committed to delivering solutions that will drive business transformation through process automation and standardization of lab workflows. The LIMS team maintains and enhances the LIMS solutions (LabWare v5 and v8) used across the Pfizer Global Supply network. This includes development of AI tools to support the automation of our work and to support labs in executing their business processes efficiently.
The Sr. Associate, Technical Analyst will work as part of the LIMS Agile team to provide operational support for the LIMS applications and infrastructure. The colleague will be highly motivated, eager to explore new technologies, and is effective when working in a team environment. A strong aptitude towards self-development and growth is highly desired.
An ideal candidate will have experience with the LIMS solutions mentioned above in addition to a strong understanding of Lab processes. The successful candidate will build on a sound basis of IT knowledge and practical experience paired with awareness of the requirements for working in a regulated environment and the willingness to become an expert in our technical and business processes.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr Associate, Technical Analyst responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work as a team member maintaining and enhancing LIMS solutions used in Pfizer Global Supply laboratories worldwide
- Working as part of a scrum team & demonstrate agile ways of working.
- Work with the product owner & technical manager, to maintain a product backlog for the solution to effectively manage the technical work required to enhance & maintain the solution.
- Collaborate & set expectations with business team to define and estimate sizing of user stories, enablers & defects
- Collaborate with other solution teams within Pfizer Digital Quality to align processes and implement process improvements
- Manage changes in requirements over the project lifecycle and partners with the project Manager to assess the impact on the project scope
- Ensure work tasks are completed on schedule to a high quality standard & within configuration guidelines.
- Ensure solutions are maintained in a compliant state in accordance with Pfizer policy and GMP regulations.
- Provide L4 technical support & deployment hypercare support
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a Lab systems environment
- Good written and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to colleagues
- Strong understanding of Databases (Oracle/SQL.) table structures / table relationships, query the data tables
- Strong programming and coding skills using LabWare LIMS Basic
- Strong understanding of Agile, SDCL, and Prod Ops is required.
- Experience of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control
- management, build processes, testing, documentation and releasing.
- Understanding of 21 CFR Part 11 and GMP regulations
- Ability to work with global teams across multiple concurrent activities and successfully adapt to changing priorities as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Agile (SAFe preferred).
- Experience with ETL tools like IICS, AWS services.
- Experience with LW LIMS Basic
- Experience with various testing tools like ALM, QTest, Jira.
- Experience writing and using database, SQL queries using various databases (Oracle, Snowflake, RedShift etc).
- Experience utilizing one or more database tools like Toad, DBeaver, SQL Navigator with Oracle or other databases.
- Experience using DevSecOps tools
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to manage many parallel objectives and changing priorities. Working with various stakeholders from multiple groups.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Job will require working with global teams and applications. Flexible working schedule will be needed on occasion to accommodate planned agile sprint planning and system releases as well as unplanned/on-call support.
- Potential travel required for critical project work up to 10% of time
