INTECH Process Automation is seeking a seasoned Sr. Analyzer Engineer to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team, responsible for leading the analyzer maintenance strategy, technical assurance, troubleshooting, reliability and compliance of process analyzers and CEMS. The role provides technical leadership for analyzer systems, sample conditioning, DCS integration, obsolescence management, MOC and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead analyzer maintenance strategy, reliability and performance improvement for process analyzers and CEMS.
- Provide technical leadership for complex analyzer and sample-conditioning system troubleshooting and failure resolution.
- Develop and review calibration, validation, proof-testing and performance-monitoring programs.
- Ensure analyzer and CEMS systems meet applicable environmental, regulatory, process and site compliance requirements.
- Review analyzer sample-system design, conditioning, utilities, materials and installation arrangements.
- Lead RCA and reliability improvement for recurring analyzer and sample-system failures.
- Oversee analyzer DCS/SCADA/historian integration, signal integrity, data quality and communication interfaces.
- Review and approve MOC, design changes, technical specifications, work methods and test procedures.
- Manage analyzer obsolescence, lifecycle planning, upgrades, replacements and technology improvements.
- Lead compliance-critical analyzer restoration, validation and return-to-service activities.
- Review analyzer performance trends, diagnostics, calibration results and data quality to identify improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate with OEMs, specialist vendors, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Laboratory and HSE teams.
- Provide technical assurance for FAT, SAT, commissioning, installation, calibration and functional testing.
- Maintain and review technical documentation, analyzer records, reliability reports, compliance data and CMMS records.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and supervision to analyzer engineers and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, hazardous-area, process safety, MOC and analyzer management procedures.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or industrial facilities, including at least 5 years in a senior/lead analyzer engineering role.
- Advanced knowledge of process analyzers, CEMS, analytical methods and analyzer technologies.
- Strong experience with sample-conditioning system design, troubleshooting and reliability improvement.
- Knowledge of analyzer/CEMS environmental and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience with DCS/SCADA/historian integration, data quality and analyzer communications.
- Proven capability in complex troubleshooting, RCA and compliance-critical restoration.
- Experience with MOC, design reviews, technical assurance and controlled modifications.
- Knowledge of analyzer lifecycle management, obsolescence, upgrades and technology selection.
- Strong vendor/OEM management and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
- Experience with FAT/SAT, commissioning, calibration, validation and performance testing.
- Strong leadership, technical documentation and mentoring capabilities.
- Relevant analyzer/OEM training or certification is highly desirable.
