Job Description
We are hiring for a Senior Analyst, Business Insights to lead advanced analytics, reporting, and data visualization initiatives for Global Sales and Operations teams. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Power BI and Fabric, a strong ability to create optimized SQL queries, and a strong business acumen to translate stakeholder needs into scalable, actionable reporting solutions.
The position will be based out of Gurgaon (preferred) or Noida and aligned to EMEA working hours (2PM–11PM) with flexibility for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to elicit, challenge, and refine reporting requirements
- Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical frameworks and data models
- Act as a trusted advisor, recommending optimal reporting and visualization approaches
- Lead discussions to align on KPIs, metrics definitions, and reporting standards
- Partner with Technology and Data Foundation teams to translate analytical needs into scalable data solutions and collaboratively build new analytics capabilities.
- Mentor teammates on Power BI, SQL, and data visualization techniques and best practices
2. Advanced Reporting & Data Visualization (Power BI & Fabric – Core Focus)
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Semantic Models, Pipelines) to build scalable analytics solutions
- Develop complex calculations using:
• DAX (advanced measures, time intelligence, optimization)
• Power Query / M language for data transformation
- Ensure reports are high-performing, user-friendly, and visually compelling
- Implement data models (star schema, semantic modeling best practices)
- Develop and maintain analytics best practices, governance, and documentation
3. Advanced SQL & Cloud Data Engineering (Snowflake & OneLake)
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale data environments
- Work extensively within cloud data platforms
- Develop optimized SQL tables and views to support efficient Power BI reporting
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or similar)
Experience
- 5+ years in analytics, reporting, or business intelligence roles with multifunctional business partners
- Expert-level experience in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling)
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric
- 5+ years advanced SQL experience (Snowflake, OneLake or cloud platforms preferred)
- Proven experience in end-to-end dashboard/report development and stakeholder management
- Experience with large, complex datasets
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M language)
- Strong SQL and cloud data platform experience (Snowflake preferred)
- Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
