Position Overview
MetLife Corporate Functions is looking for an experienced Senior Agile Program Manager to manage and lead Agile Release Trains (ART) and Teams in our organization.
This Lead role's responsibilities will be to oversee and coordinate multiple agile teams working towards common objectives. Facilitate communication, align teams with strategic objectives, remove obstacles, and ensure that agile principles and practices are effectively applied to deliver value to customers. Promote collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement across the organization's programs and projects.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate sessions involving complex issues involving ARTs, multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities. Deliver training frequently with high feedback scores.
- Oversee multiple programs and guide program teams. Optimize and scale agile processes across the organization.
- Facilitate and map team and ART-level development value streams to improve flow of value. Use data from the teams and tools to help with visualizing flow of value.
- Provide guidance on improving team dynamics and performance. Help team manage interpersonal conflicts, challenges and opportunities for growth.
- Manage and forecast team bandwidth, burn rate, and velocity.
- Coach the teams in self-organization, cross-functional skillsets, and domain knowledge.
- Communicate effectively, both internally and externally, working within the team.
- Foster a collaborative and transparent environment.
Required Skills:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Business or a related discipline.
- 7+ years professional experience in Data and Analytics field.
- 4+ years professional experience in leading people and/or projects in an Agile based setting.
- Advanced skills in coaching and mentoring and being a servant leader.
- Advanced knowledge of Insurance or Financial business products and services.
- Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, specifically Scrum and SAFe.
- Experience in operating with Azure DevOps with ability to create Dashboards with PI and Sprint related metrics.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification as a SAFe Release Train Engineer or similar will be a plus.
The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $165,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
