We're looking for a Senior Career Services Advisor to serve as both a high-performing career coach and a mentor to our team. In this role, you'll help students and graduates launch successful careers while also training and developing other advisors. This is a position for someone who has mastered the fundamentals of career services and is ready to elevate their impact by sharing that expertise with others.

You'll work directly with students, graduates, and employers while demonstrating best practices and coaching team members. This role combines individual contribution with informal leadership--you'll be expected to consistently exceed placement goals while helping others do the same.

Responsibilities of a Senior Career Services Advisor

  • Provide one-on-one career coaching and job search assistance to students and graduates
  • Delivery of workshops on resume writing, interviewing, and professional development
  • Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities
  • Develop a pipeline of qualified job opportunities aligned with graduate skills and training
  • Coordinate job fairs, employer visits, and on-campus recruiting events
  • Track graduate employment outcomes and maintain contact until successful placement
  • Train and mentor career services advisors on best practices and procedures
  • Demonstrate mastery of career services policies and serve as a resource for the team
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with accreditation standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support student success

Requirements of a Senior Career Services Advisor

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of career services experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding placement goals
  • Strong communication skills--comfortable presenting to groups and building relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others
  • Deep understanding of career services best practices and procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to navigate multiple technology platforms
  • Results-driven with ability to manage high activity levels and multiple priorities

Pay Range

$60,000 - $70,000 per year
