Honeywell Industrial Automation is seeking a highly accomplished Sr. Advanced Project Engineer to lead strategic product development and technology initiatives within the Smart Energy business.
This role is responsible for driving complex, global programs that accelerate innovation, enable business growth, and deliver differentiated customer value across Industrial Automation and Smart Energy portfolios. The successful candidate will serve as a key leader across engineering, product management, operations, manufacturing, and commercial organizations, ensuring alignment between business objectives, customer needs, and execution strategies.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with exceptional program leadership capabilities and possesses the ability to drive decisions through systems thinking, customer-centric innovation, and cross-functional influence. This individual thrives in dynamic environments and has demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams within Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe®) organizations.
Responsibilities- Lead the execution of strategic product development programs from concept through commercialization, ensuring delivery of business, customer, and technology objectives.
- Drive New Product Introduction (NPI), portfolio expansion, technology transformation, product sustainment, and productivity initiatives across global organizations.
- Develop and execute program strategies that align technical roadmaps with business priorities and market opportunities.
- Apply Systems Thinking to assess end-to-end impacts across products, technologies, customers, organizations, and operational processes.
- Leverage Design Thinking methodologies to translate customer insights into innovative and scalable solutions.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams to accelerate decision-making and execution.
- Lead executive-level program reviews, business updates, risk management activities, and milestone governance processes.
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical, operational, financial, and organizational risks.
- Build alignment and influence stakeholders across a global matrix organization to achieve common business objectives.
- Enable organizational agility through effective participation in Agile and SAFe development processes.
- Champion operational excellence, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience leading complex engineering programs involving hardware, firmware, software, connected products, or industrial automation solutions.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional product development initiatives in a global environment.
- Strong understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) and product lifecycle management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution across multiple stakeholders, functions, and business priorities.
- Experience operating within Agile development environments.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced English communication skills.
