Key Responsibilities
· Execute month-end close processes including areas such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, deferred costs, fixed assets, debt, and cash
· Perform revenue recognition for professional services revenue engagements in accordance with ASC 606
· Prepare and review monthly reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts; identify, investigate, and document variances and anomalies
· Support the annual financial statement audit, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring timely, complete documentation
· Assist external team with tax provisions, compliance filings and related documentation
· Prepare and review financial statements and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP
· Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and document accounting processes to drive efficiency and accuracy
· Provide analytical support for management and external inquiries
· Collaborate effectively across US and India teams, adapting to cross-time zone workflows
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
· Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred
· 4-7 years of corporate accounting experience
· Mix of public accounting and private accounting preferred
· SaaS or software industry experience preferred
· Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirement
· Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and reporting
· Ability to conduct independent technical accounting research and document conclusions
· Strong analytical thinking, exceptional attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills for managing cross-border stakeholder relationships.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
· Comfortable working in IST hours with overlap availability during US Eastern business hours as needed
