Job Description:

The Sr Account Executive role will be responsible for selling to various commercial industries, with a primary focus on Aerospace, Manufacturing, and other security-conscious sectors. You will be responsible for building our business in these areas. This will involve periods of significant travel to conferences and customer sites, so you’ll need to be ready and willing to do so. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a challenging, dynamic environment and is eager to roll up their sleeves. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Generation: Generate qualified leads through attending events, outbound, and tapping your network. We are an early stage company, so you will be expected to source some of your own deals.
  • Close Deals: Effectively manage and execute efficient sales cycles, from initial contact to deal closure, demonstrating a deep understanding of our product's technical aspects and value proposition.
  • Run POCs: In partnership with our CS team, deliver strong trial and/or Proof of Concept (PoC) demonstrations to increase our customer conversion rate and showcase the benefits of the Yurts platform.
  • Process and Playbook Development: Collaborate with the team to build out sales processes, playbooks, and materials that will be used as a foundation for future hires.
  • Understand the End Use: Tailoring your pitch to each industry and persona we serve will be necessary. You will need to use your past experience (ideally selling to one or more of these industries) to dive deep into their pain points and help tailor your pitch.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Sales
  • Low ego and willingness to engage in outbound prospecting and lead generation activities hands-on
  • Willingness and ability to travel up (up to 50% of the time). The actual amount will ebb and flow, but this is non-negotiable.
  • Ability to quickly learn, pitch, and demonstrate a highly technical product in a fast-paced and evolving market.
  • Proven track record of closing complex deals and selling into complex organizations to senior executives.
  • Strong listening skills, with the ability to articulate customer feedback effectively and collaborate with the Product team.
  • Familiarity with best-of-breed software and a technical understanding of integrations, APIs, infrastructure management, security, and analytics.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of selling to Aerospace, Manufacturing, MRO, or similar security-conscious industries.
  • Previous experience in selling knowledge management or AI solutions.
