The Data Product Delivery Lead orchestrates the design and implementation of complex data engineering solutions, setting technical standards, and mentoring team members. Serving as the critical operational bridge between external technical consultants, this role translates strategic product roadmaps and architectural designs into tactical execution and requires deep expertise in distributed data systems, cloud data platforms, and advanced ETL/ELT patterns, enabling you to drive day-to-day agile delivery, troubleshoot intricate performance issues, and ensure the resilience, quality, and security of critical data infrastructure. Job Responsibilities
Operational Bridge & Delivery Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between external technical partners and internal Solution Architects and Product Owners, translating strategic product roadmaps and architectural designs into tactical execution plans.
Agile Team Leadership: Lead day-to-day delivery operations for the development squads, (including Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and backlog refinement to maintain high velocity, team predictability) and alignment with definition of done and business goals.
Vendor Delivery Oversight & Quality Control: Manage the daily activities and technical outputs of external consulting teams, ensuring their deliverables meet established architectural standards, data governance policies, and sprint commitments.
Scope / (Content Leadership): Leads the design and construction of large-scale data architectures. Oversees our implementation partners, and mentors junior engineers while driving technical excellence and setting standards across the team.
Accountability/Problem Solving: Solves highly complex data engineering problems and troubleshoots intricate performance issues. Ensures that critical data infrastructure and systems remain highly scalable, secure, resilient, and efficient.
Impact/Strategy: Leads projects that significantly shape the organization’s data infrastructure. Works with Enterprise and Solution Architects to contribute on the long-term strategies for data architecture and contributes to data governance initiatives.
Complexity / (Product Size): Manages enterprise-level data systems and infrastructure. Designs and implements advanced data processing frameworks, scalable data warehouses, and data lakes.
Business / Technical ability: Acts as an expert in multiple programming languages and Big Data technologies. Demonstrates a deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud data platforms, advanced ETL/ELT patterns, and data architecture best practices.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
Extensive experience leading the design, implementation, and construction of complex data engineering solutions and large-scale data architectures.
Proven track record of leading squads that shape enterprise-level data infrastructure and contribute to long-term data architecture strategies.
Demonstrated experience contributing significantly to data governance and ensuring the resilience and security of critical data infrastructure.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in multiple programming languages and Big Data technologies. (Snowflake, SQL, DBT, Python, Talend, AWS) and version control systems (GITLAB/GITHUB)
Expertise in distributed data systems, cloud data platforms, and advanced ETL/ELT patterns.
Proven capability to architect scalable data warehouses and data lakes, and to troubleshoot intricate system performance issues.
