Provide lifeguard support as a Sports Assistant at the University of Edinburgh’s sports facility, helping create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for students, staff, and community members. The role requires competent swimming ability and an existing or obtainable National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification. This is a part-time, nine-month fixed-term position with three vacancies.

Are you a competent swimmer who currently holds or is looking to acquire an NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification)?

We’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who bring new perspectives, a positive attitude, and strong problem-solving skills to the role. As a Sports Assistant (Lifeguard), you’ll play an important part in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone.

We have 3 posts available:

  • 2x 15 hours per week contracts
  • 1x 10 hours per week contract
