Role Description
As part of the End User Computing, the SharePoint & OneDrive Engineering team are accountable for designing, building, testing and implementing the banks Productivity and Collaboration products like SharePoint Online (& On-prem), OneDrive for Business, Power Automate, Viva Engage, M365 Copilot, Planner, M365 Purview Portal and other related components.
We are looking for a SPO/OneDrive for Business senior engineer who will define, design, create and drive solutions and standards for OneDrive and other related M365 services. The engineer will lead OneDrive and sync client configurations in the bank. Drive and implement technical and business requirements for eDiscovery, Compliance, Audit and home drives to OneDrive migration etc.
You are required to evaluate releases made up vendors of content management products (SharePoint on Prem/Online, OneDrive for Business) and identify, analyze issues and work with Vendor for resolution. Wherever possible resolution of issues and conflicts, introduce proactive improvements and automation within the environment, act as escalation point for service operation team for content management related products.

Your key responsibilities
- Design, develop and document automation and engineering work required for configuration of OneDrive, sync client and other related M365 services in the bank.
- Own, define and implement GPO policies, pList required for OneDrive Sync Client.
- Design, implement and document solutions for eDiscovery, Identity and access management, Compliance, Audit, Retention requirements etc.
- Work with other Architects and Engineering team to develop technical documents and drive the security and design approvals.
- Work towards handover of engineering solutions to operations team by providing KT, operation guides and supporting escalated user issues.
- Work with business stakeholders and project managers to discuss requirements and timelines. Participate and provide updates in leadership meetings for your stream.
- Document and track risks, issues and dependencies in project RAID log and ensure they are actioned accordingly.
- Participate and work as required towards M365 roadmap and private previews. Work with Microsoft on support tickets.
- Major Incident Management and maintain effective communications with stakeholder, operations during downtime events. Assist with resolution efforts and perform root cause analysis as needed on major incidents.
- Actively supports achievement of Bank’s/Division’s strategy, plans and values, and ensures that they maintain a clear understanding and ongoing alignment of activities with the organization’s priorities.

Your skills and experience
Bachelor's/Master's degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science, preferred. The Candidate must have 12Yrs+ total experience of which around 6+ years in SharePoint and 4+ years in M365/O365, SharePoint Online/OneDrive for Business, Power Platform applications at an enterprise level. It’s ideal to have experience with M365 Copilot as well.
- Good hands-on experience and knowledge of SharePoint Online and OneDrive and in-depth understanding of Sync Client deployment including GPOs.
- Experience on working with non-persistent windows computing environments using solutions like FSLogix/Ivanti etc.
- Experience on working with different device types – Windows, MacOS, AVD, Mobile (iOS & Android).
- Strong understanding of application packaging, deployment, GPO.
- Hands on experience on migration tool like Sharegate, SPMT etc. with prior experience of migration of file shares to OneDrive.
- Strong knowledge of M365 Purview Portal and its components, especially DLP, Retention and eDiscovery.
- Strong understanding of Power Automate to automate manual tasks.
- Strong understanding of M365 license, roles and role groups, Identity management.
- Strong knowledge of using PnP and PowerShell for O365 and Azure.
- Strong experience with stakeholder management and presentations to end users.
- Experience of M365 Copilot is an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of Agile and SDLC tools like JIRA, Bit Bucket, Artifactory etc.
- Good understanding of Azure PaaS, IaaS and SaaS services. Experience of working with VNET, firewalls, express route.
Education/Certification:
- Degree or higher in relevant discipline (E.g. Computer Science, Engineering).
- Previous experience working with cloud environment (preferably Azure, M365) with SharePoint on prem (Any version)
- Certifications: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Azure Fundamental, Microsoft Security, compliance and Identity Fundamentals (or any similar certification), SharePoint development certification (any)
