We’re hiring a Sponsorships Partner Manager to focus on managing new sponsorship opportunities for Substack creators. We’re looking for someone who has talent management experience, great project management skills and excels at relationships with creators. Ideally this person will also have some experience in sponsorship x creator models and can also think creatively about new sponsorship formats and models in a subscription-based, creator-first media landscape.
The ideal candidate must have an ability to strategically match and make new opportunities between brands and creators. Candidates should have a deep interest in supporting creators in many different ways and be eager to make an impact in a fast-paced, startup environment. This role will report to the Head of Enterprise Partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Head of Enterprise Partnerships on lead sourcing new sponsorship opportunities for creators
Project manage pilot programs with new offerings for top publishers, from format to agreement to execution
Handle day to day account management with major external partners
Think creatively about new opportunities and offerings for top publishers to increase their business and expand their revenue streams
Partner closely with the internal marketing, product, and data teams to deeply understand how these new formats, tools, and opportunities are working
Work cross-functionally to help uplevel sponsorship strategy
Requirements:
Excellent written, verbal, and diplomatic skills, with sharp attention to detail
A voracious reader and subscriber to Substacks, with a keen sense of the evolving tech and media landscape
Interest in building the playbook (principles, strategy) and then scaling it (building solutions, processes, and teams)
Awareness and knowledge of online trends
Comfort with and a passion for social media, you are curious about what’s going on there, aware of trends, and able to identify interesting new voices
Nice to haves:
Experience working with influencers
Artist relations and management experience
Previous sales experience, preferably with a focus on high-velocity outbound conversations
CRM (Sales, Hubspot, etc) experience
Our cash compensation salary range for this role is a base salary of $100,000 - $140,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
